- May 24, 10am-3:30pm. Basketry workshop with Cynthia Minden. Learn the art of rib construction basketry and get a chance to practice by making multiple mini baskets.
- May 10, 10am-3pm. Sheep to Shawl at Arrowvale Campground. Join the Alberni Valley Fibre Guild and the kids from 4H as we take fleece from a sheep to a finished shawl project, including shearing, skirting, carding the fleece, spinning the yarn, and weaving the shawl.
- April 26, noon-4pm. Wool 101: Learn the history, science, and production of wool, meet a local fibre sheep flock, and learn how to evaluate a fleece for your own projects.
- April 12, 1pm-3pm. Learn how to make cordage from local materials, with Leo King at the Alberni Valley museum. Free event, drop-in.
